What a beautiful wedding this was. The weather was perfect; the colours were beautiful and best of all it was so much fun! I was second shooting for David Gilmour of Lumacraft Photography. http://www.lumacraft.com/. He is such an amazing photographer and I was honoured to be asked to be his second shooter. David and I are both licenced photographers of the Professional Photographers of Canada. Having someone like David who has been a member of the PPOC for quite some time mentoring you, is very invaluable.

Considering it's 12:30 at night...I should probably wrap this up soon. I just can't say enough about a wonderful day we had and how lovely the bride, groom and their bridal party was to work with. New Policy for Beauty On The Go

The trial run is the time to test out styles to find the perfect style for you. There is no time allotted for this on the day of the wedding. If you've changed your mind in regards to trying a different style, another trial run must be booked or there will be an additional $65 charge on the day of the wedding. Minor changes are ok, but not a completely different "do". We book enough time that is necessary for little interruptions throughout the morning, but there is not enough time to test new styles, unless you take people off the list of scheduled services with us. We have a schedule that is set for the day of your wedding with certain amount of time scheduled for each person. Thanks for understanding.

If you are a faithful blog reader, you will remember this lovely couple. We recently photographed their beautiful wedding not too long ago. I feel very lucky to be the person to create these memories that are going to last a life time.

I have not obtained permission to post semi-nudes, but I am happy to share some others. I do admit 75% of the maternity shoot is done semi-nude (provided your comfort level). I find them truly beautiful and they really show off your pregnancy. They are such a cute couple and are so in love.

Outside Photo Sessions!!

The nice weather is finally here and I am so excited to start shooting outside. My favourite places to shoot are Paletta, the beach, lowville and downtown Burlington.
I have my first outdoor shoot tomorrow, so let's hope it does not rain. I have two spaces left for May and booking well into June. I will be doing less shoots this summer so that I can spend more time with family and friends and work on a few personal projects and take a few more courses. If you are expecting, please do book at your earliest convenience to avoid dissapointment. Maternity shoots should be booked anywhere from 7 to 8 months. You can always try and book later, but you never know when the baby is going to make it's grand entrance.

Beauty on the Go blog posts have been slacking - I've got to start keeping on that since we are in wedding season now! We are looking forward to Susan's wedding on Friday and Joanna's on Saturday. We honestly love doing hair and makeup for weddings. For myself, it's nice to have a different creative outlet other than photography. First off, I have to say what a good man the man upstairs is! We prayed for no rain, and received no rain - yaaayyyyy!

Yesterday we had the oppportunity to work with Sarah & Clark for their big day and what a wonderful day it was. I am waiting for my studio sample album to arrive from Australia and then I will post some images of the new line that I am selling. Currently I am carrying a 10x10 and 5x7 fine art leather elite album, storybook album which is like a hard cover book which comes in all sizes. I also am carrying a line of handmade albums which are absolutely stunning. You have a choice of fabric for the cover and the book is bound together by lace. And finally on the higher end I will be carrying a beautiful line from Australia. Wait until you see this one! Too many choices I know~!
Since most of my packages have an album included, I thought it would be best to give clients more variety since everyone has different tastes. I always appreciate feedback, so please feel free to let me know what you think when you are in the studio.

Yesterday was such a wonderful, fabulous day! We could not ask for better weather. Virginia and I were lucky enough to be a part of Tovi's big day in so many ways. We were first contracted to do the hair and makeup. Tovi then realized that we were starting to do wedding photography and asked if we would be interested in photographing hers. We thought this wedding would be perfect for us and it was. The bride and groom were so awesome to work with and don't even get me started on the family! Hi-Lari-ous! Virginia and I wondered where the day went. That wedding was a blast.
I have a few others ahead of Tovi, but I wanted to share just one. This is one of our favs. Hope you like it Tovi ;)

PPOC convention.

Today was a very eventful day at the professional photographers of Ontario/Canada Convention. I received my national accreditation as a child portrait photographer. I watched as my images came up on the screen very nervously. The judges look for everything and I mean everything. I think I stopped breathing and looked at David. Some of the images received an excellence - which I was so pleased with and surprised. I am so incredibly critcal of my work.

I have such a great mentor and friend who has helped me along the way...you all likely know by now, David of Lumacraft photography...www.lumacraft.com. I've worked very hard to get here and I have a very long way to go.
