Eyelash Extensions

Many of you have asked about eye lash extensions. I personally have not yet tried but I must say I am very intrigued. I found some information for you to learn more about this topic.
Synthetic lashes are applied to each of your lashes individually. These prices are for the Burlington/Oakville area

How are the extensions applied?

Lash extensions are bonded to your natural lash with a special, eye-friendly adhesive. They generally last from a week up to 3 weeks, depending on how well you take care of them. Touch-up services are recommended as the lashes are attached to your own real lashes.

How much are the extensions?

Prices of eyelash extensions service will vary. In general, these prices range from $50 to $100 for a full set. With some salons, application of half a set is also an option. This service applies lashes to the outer corners only.
Please take care to make your semi-permanent lash extensions last as long as possible. Make sure not to rub or scratch around your eye area. Do not use any creams, lotions, cleansers, or eye make-up remover near or on the lashes because such chemicals may loosen the bond, causing the lashes to fall out.
Instead, use creams sparingly around your eye area, and try as much as possible to avoid the lid and lash area. Water-soluble mascara is an option. Waterproof mascara is NOT recommended, as it will definitely dissolve the adhesive of your eyelash extensions.Mascaras created by the lash extension companies are specially formulated to not affect your lashes. Ask your extension stylist for recommended mascara.

Removal is accomplished by a special adhesive that contains a specific solution to gently detach the lashes. It is strongly recommended you do not attempt to remove the lashes yourself, such as ripping them out. I have also been told they also start to fall out after a week or so depending on the oil production in the eye area as well as how you take care of them.

And of course there is the temporary solution - Lashes for a day and you can remove them that night. These lashes are available to all brides free of charge.

Cheers~Marie
